Dear colleague,
You are welcome to attend the 8th EMF Workshop that will be held in Bulgaria in small region close to town Varna, on the Black sea. Bulgaria is very ancient country (the state was created in 681 AD). The earliest human remains discovered on this land date from 44,000 BC. Around 5000 BC, a sophisticated civilization already existed and produced some of the first pottery and jewelry in the world. There are evidence about the Thracians living here since approximately 3000 BC. Around 500 BC, they formed the powerful Odrysian Kingdom which subsequently declined and Thracian tribes fell under Macedonian, Celtic and Roman domination. This mixture of ancient peoples was assimilated by the Slavs, who permanently settled on the peninsula after 500 AD.
Organizing this meeting, we continue the tradition started in 2000 to gather scientists from the Mediterranean countries, with the kind attendance of leading specialists from all over the world including representatives of WHO, ICNIRP, BEMS, EBEA, NATO and other international organizations.
We invite specialists in the field of measurement, dosimetry, exposure and risk assessment of non-ionizing radiation (NIR), studying EMF and UV biological and adverse effects, developing exposure limits and legislation, epidemiologists and specialists in social sciences promoting communication strategies in the field of NIR prevention of workers and general population. Different stakeholders are welcome as well for wide discussion of public concern about NIR human exposure.
We invite young researchers, also students to attend the young scientists’ session that we plan to organize at the time of the 8th EMF Workshop.
We hope that the 8th EMF Workshop will help to the global societies to gather more scientists in the field of non-ionizing radiation protection to participate in collaboration with all researchers from European countries and worldwide.
